Clear Lake Boat Ramp Closed for Dredge
Clear Lake, IA- An area boat ramp is about to get a little easier to use. Crews are closing down the Mcintosh Woods boat ramp Wednesday. It is staying closed through Thursday.
Workers are going to be busy dredging the area. One Department of Natural Resources officer tells us the water is only about two feet deep. That's making it difficult for boats to get into the water.
"Deepen that ramp 10 to 12 feet deep channel, that will really help the boaters whether they are anglers, recreational boaters with the launching of the boats down at that facility," said Scott Grummer, Iowa DNR.
Boaters should use the ramps at the Ritz access, Heartland Inn, and Main Street to access the lake over the next two days.
