Charles City Attempted Murder Trial

CHARLES CITY, IA--The trial of a man facing attempted murder charges is starting in Charles City.

Jerome Williams is also facing a kidnapping charge.

Police believe Williams shot Lamont Frazier in Charles City last November.

Neighbors reported hearing a fight of some sort outdoors in the 500 block of Wright Avenue and then several shots were fired.

Floyd County attorney Jesse Marzen says the state's witnesses testified on Wednesday, including the victim.

The state is expected to continue presenting its case on Thursday.
