ALDEN, MN--
It's a big anniversary for members of one Minnesota group. The Dairy Herd Improvement Association is celebrating one hundred years. One official tells us the group started in Freeborn County and was originally called the Cow Testing Association.
They marked the occasion Wednesday with their annual meeting and a group lunch.
“We're celebrating that fact today by inviting many of the people that were involved in testing over the years,” said Bruce Ness, a member of the DHIA Board of Directors.
Ness says they had a very good turnout at the gathering. He estimates that over one hundred people showed up to partake in the celebration.
