RAKE, IA---An electrical problem and a small fire is forcing a
North Iowa homeowner to find a temporary place to stay.At around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night Ashley D
orantes of Rake called Winnebago County 911.
She reported problems with the breaker box in her home at 302 2nd Street Northeast in the community of Rake, which is located in the Northwest corner of the county on the Iowa/Minnesota border.
A Winnebago County Deputy reported the two story home's breaker box was buzzing and sparking and it did briefly catch fire.
The home suffered minor smoke damage.
Eight people inside got out safely.
They were staying with family and friends on Thursday night.
