Money for Sewer System
Britt, IA- An area community is hoping for state money to help fix its sanitary sewer system.
Britt city leaders are applying for a more than $400,000 grant. The city wants to replace its sanitary sewer system. The grant is from disaster recovery funds. During last year's flooding, homeowners experienced sewage back-up into their basements. A study also shows several weak spots.
"With budget cuts right now and state money, it would be very hard to do upgrades," said John Madson, City of Britt.
