CHARLES CITY, IA-You'll find all sorts of bikes cruising along the RAGBRAI route.
Some of those can get pretty pricey.
Some people ride bikes sitting down and some are bicycles built for two.
Gene Rupnik rides a 10,000 dollar bike. This is his 23rd year riding in the event.
He's missed only one year since 1986. His bike is one of a kind and said it is very important that your cycle fits you.
Rupnik says having the right one makes the ride that much better.
RAGBRAI Rider Gene Rupnik said, "the people who love to ride, like nice equipment. I had this bike custom made, it's all titanium. It makes the ride so much more enjoyable for me that even a bad day is a good."
Rupnik said even though his bike makes for a great ride, it's the people of Iowa who keep him coming back year after year.
