MASON CITY, IA---The rising Des Moines River is expected to create flooding trouble across Iowa.

That's why nearly a dozen semi-tractor trailers appeared in the parking lot of the Mason City Kmart over the weekend.

They are loaded with merchandise from the Algona Kmart store which is located close to the river.

According to an assistant store manager in Mason City the trailers could be staying for days or weeks until the flooding threat is over in Algona.

Algona's Kmart isn't closing; they're just getting prepared in case the worst happens when the river finally crests.
