ALBERT LEA, MN--Albert Lea's new City Manager is under investigation.
Human Resources Director Mike Zelenak is confirming Jim Norman is the focus of the case. There are allegations of misconduct.
Albert Lea City Council members did meet behind closed doors yesterday, before the regularly scheduled council meeting.
KIMT does not know the nature of the allegations.
Plymouth, Mn-based Frank Madden with Frank Madden & Associates, with oversee the case.
Norman has been the City Manager in Albert Lea since the council officially accepted his contract March 31st in a special session. He started full time in early May.
Norman is replacing Victoria Simonsen who took a different job and left Albert Lea in February.
