With the stroke of a pen, it's now law in Minnesota that most daycare workers take a CPR course before working with children.

Governor Mark Dayton signed "Hannah's Law" - requiring all day care center teachers, assistants, and staff who transport children be trained in giving CPR.

It came about as a result of the death of four-year-old Hannah Kozitza, who choked on a grape at a day care center in North Mankato last summer.

Under the old law, only one person in a day care had to be trained in CPR. In Iowa...all full time employee's at child care facilities are required to be CPR certified.

At Charlie Brown daycare in Mason City, they require all their employees no matter how much they work to be certified. Leaders here say they do this for the safety of the kids.

Assistant Director Kim Tabbert said, "we just want to make sure all our kids are safe. It's a comfort to the parents, it's a comfort to the staff to know that the people you are working with are trained in this."

She said they are always up to date with the latest changes in CPR training.
