OSAGE, IA - Community members in Osage are on a scavenger hunt for a blue maple leaf.
The Power 9 Board in Osage is in the third week of its Blue Zone scavenger hunt. Each week they're hiding a blue maple leaf around town and posting a clue for folks on Facebook.
People who find the leaf fill out a survey saying what kinds of healthy activities they would like to do and then each week there is a drawing for prizes.
Kara Naig, with the Power 9 Board tells us, "It's been a little slow so I really am encouraging our local community to get out there and search for the leaf.”
Blue Zone towns could be announced as early as February 10th. Naig says even if Osage isn’t a Blue Zone they will still work on improving the community’s wellness.
