MASON CITY, IA-Some religious leaders are speaking out against a new policy on birth control.
It says the insurance companies for religious schools and hospitals must provide birth control coverage for employees.
Father Craig Steimel with St. Joesph Catholic Church in Mason City said that is against their freedom of religion.
He said, "It's directly against our faith because Jesus told us thou shall not kill and that we should be open to having children and so we should do everything we can to preserve life."
They are even putting an insert in this Sunday's bulletin so their congregation knows what is going on.
