CLEAR LAKE, IA - We may finally be seeing some signs of winter, but our area lakes still aren’t frozen.
Warmer temperatures have kept Clear Lake from freezing, and local law enforcement tells us they're warning people to be aware.
Police Chief Greg Peterson says they’ve had some small incidents with ice surfers on the lake, but not much else.
"Nobody's been injured and it all ended well, but obviously there's some danger if you go out on thin ice."
Every year the aerators are a concern out on Clear Lake. Peterson explains the water doesn't really freeze there and can be dangerous.
