ALBERT LEA, Minn. -- After forty-seven years, the Albert Lea Community Theatre is taking a step into the 21st century.
The Albert Lea Community Theatre will be selling tickets online in addition to the regular box office sales for the 2011-2012 season.
The plan to sell tickets online has been in motion for about three years, with today being the first day people are allowed to buy tickets online.
Leaders say the new technology will allow the theatre to sell tickets anywhere at any time.
“Anytime, of the night or day that they're online they can order the tickets,” Albert Lea Community Theatre Co-President Rosalie Truax said. “They will go on and they'll see the seating chart and they'll pick the seats they want. Put in a credit card number or they will actually if they want be able to print their tickets out at their home printer.”
