MASON CITY, IA - Financial experts are advising folks to diversify their investments, but what if you don't know how to do that?
This winter Iowa State Extension is offering eight online classes to help with that.
Local finance specialists tells us all the classes are different, some are for youths just starting out on their own. Other classes give advice for those who are at the retiring age.
Brenda Schmitt, ISU Extension and Outreach Family Finance Field Specialist, tells us the overall goal is to help folks deal with changing economic conditions.
"Time has a big influence or impact on how fast your money can grow. The earlier you start the more money you’ll have in the end without having to do additional work."
The courses begin online January 8th. Schmitt says there is a minimal cost of about 5 dollars a class.
