AUSTIN, MN -
The new Adopt-A-River program from the Cedar River Watershed District allows people to adopt and clean parts of the Cedar River. Around fifty volunteers signed up for the first year of the event. Officials say the program is a positive step to get people more involved.Last year, nine routes were adopted on the river for clean up. Thanks to the program, CRWD officials say thousands of pounds of trash were removed from the river.
