Johnson & Johnson is reducing the recommended maximum daily dose of extra strength Tylenol.

In an effort to lower the risk of accidental overdose, the drug company says labels on bottles sold in the United States will now list the maximum daily dose as six pills or 3,000 milligrams.

That's down from 8 pills or 4,000 milligrams a day.
