Healthy Summer Recipes for the Kids

Kiwifruit Carousel Parfait

Ingredients:
6 oz non-fat yogurt
1 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
3-4 animal crackers
Directions:
arrange kiwifruit around edge of small glass or bowl. Top with yogurt and animal crackers.
 
Apple Cheese Bites
Ingredients:
1/4 cup (or less) light cream cheese
3 tbsp craisins (or any other dried fruit of your choice)
1 apple
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Directions:
Stir cream cheese and dried fruit in a small-medium bowl.  Slice apples and place them on a plate. Add the mixture to a plate (either in the center of the apple wedges or on each individual apple slice). Sprinkle extra dried fruit and seasonings of your choice (for example cinnamon or nutmeg).
