 British researchers say people with a rare genetic mutation that effects the body clock hormone melatonin, are much more likely to develop the disease.

  Shift workers have a higher risk of Type-2 diabetes.

  Also, when someone's sleep is disrupted for just a few days they tend to start developing symptoms.
