KIMT and their Giving Your Best partners, Carlos O’Kelly’s and First Citizens National Bank are teaming up with the Marine Corps League once again for the 2009 Toys for Tots campaign. In 1998, KIMT was approached by the Marines to help support and publicize this annual toy drive. KIMT, through their Giving Your Best program has assisted in the facilitation of Toys for Tots to help provide toys to the children in Northern Iowa that might not otherwise have toys under their tree on Christmas morning.
While the Marines, organize, coordinate, and manage the program, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people that donate toys. Local businesses play a key role by allowing Marines to place a drop off box for donations at their place of business. A complete list of drop-off locations will be on KIMT.com.
Toys for Tots will kick off the week of November 15th. All donations made in this area are distributed to families in North Iowa and stay in the communities in which they are given. Help make a Christmas dream come true for deserving children. Bring new, unwrapped toys to one of the many drop off locations listed below.
