FRANKLIN COUNTY, IA-- The name of the pilot who died in a small plane that crashed in North Iowa Friday afternoon is being released.
David Colglazier, 44, of Latimer was the man on board.
A spokesperson from Sietsema Vogel Funeral Homes in Hampton confirmed it was Colglazier.
Investigators could not confirm where Colglazier was headed during his flight.
An autopsy was conducted Saturday by the State Medical Examiner's Office in Ames.
No information has been released on the autopsy results.
An FAA spokesperson said their investigators had been to the scene of the crash and the investigation is now being lead by the NTSB.
Colglazier's Cessna 172 came down on County Road C-25 just Southwest of the community of Chapin, shortly after 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon in Franklin County.
