CEDAR RAPIDS - Casey Frederiksen, one of the last people to see 5-year-old Evelyn Miller before her disappearance in July, 2005 has been indicted in U.S. District Court on charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
Frederiksen, 30, formerly of Charles City and Floyd, was the live-in fiancé of Evelyn Miller’s mother, Noel. He is currently serving a 14-year federal prison sentence on possession and distribution of child pornography convictions.
Miller disappeared from her home in an apartment at Floyd and her body was found after a massive six day search in Floyd County. She was found in the Cedar River near Charles City. No one was ever charged with her murder.
The conspiracy to manufacture meth charge is contained in an federal indictment filed on June 4, 2009, in United States District Court in Cedar Rapids.
The Indictment alleges that, from 2004 through June 2005, Frederiksen conspired with others to manufacture methamphetamine. If convicted, he faces a possible maximum sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment and a $1 million fine.
Frederiksen’s first appearance in federal court in Cedar Rapids has not yet
been scheduled.
