HANLONTOWN, IA - Emergency workers are dealing with an anhydrous ammonia leak in Hanlontown Saturday night.
First-responders reported rinse water, which was stored at a grain elevator, leaked onto the ground. They told KIMT News 3 the wind is blowing in a favorable direction, and as of now they aren't planning to evacuate anyone.
Iowa State Patrol and Clear Lake firefighters are on the scene. They called in a hazard mitigation representative from Mason City, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources was on the way as of 9:00 PM Saturday.
