SaVannah Reading
Reporter
SaVannah Reading joined the KIMT News 3 team in August of 2010.
She grew up in Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. A love for news and politics is why she chose to be a journalist.
While at the University of Arkansas SaVannah served as a reporter, anchor and producer at the campus TV station UATV. She was also the News Director her senior year.
SaVannah spent two summers working for CNN in Atlanta, Georgia. She interned with The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and helped assist CNNs coverage of the 2008 presidential election. She also interned with the Talent Development department where she worked with CNN anchors and reporters. While there she helped hire new talent for CNN worldwide.
In her free time SaVannah enjoys reading, shopping, snow skiing when she can and spending time with family and friends.
SaVannah loves news because she believes it is such a powerful medium to tell people stories they want and need to know. Although she is a Southern girl, she is excited to be in the Midwest. She is looking forward to getting to know the people of North Iowa and Southern Minnesota and telling their stories.
