Jenna Lee joined the KIMT News team in May of 2009

Her hometown roots stem from Jim Falls, Wisconsin. It was there Jenna found her passion for journalism, alongside her parents, older sister and brother, they shared the supper table with the local and national news. Her interest in news piqued further when she became anchor/reporter for the Chippewa Falls High School weekly news broadcast called, "Chi-Hi Happenings" and later Chief Editor of the school newspaper, "The Commentator."

Upon graduation, Jenna moved to Minneapolis/Saint Paul to work for Clear Channel Communications as a Marketing/Promotions intern for K102 country radio.

In 2005, Jenna began her college career at Saint Cloud State University in Saint Cloud, Minnesota.

While attending SCSU, Jenna supplemented her academic studies by serving as Assistant News Director for KVSC-FM radio. She also practiced her journalism skills as reporter, anchor and producer at UTVS Channel 21, Saint Cloud's only local TV station. In 2007, Jenna co-anchored an Emmy winning newscast, and proudly accepted the award along with fellow peers in Los Angeles at the Academy of TV Arts & Sciences gala.

Jenna also worked for the Society of Professional Journalists' headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. And her love for country music and news combined under the bright lights of Nashville, Tennessee as an intern for CMT, Country Music Television.

In 2008, Jenna returned to her home state as a WEAU-TV 13 news intern in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Jenna earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts & Humanities degree from Saint Cloud State University with a minor in Community Psychology in 2009.

Aside from TV news, Jenna believes giving back to the community is best served through volunteering. Following Hurricane Katrina, she joined "Hands on Gulf Coast" to help the people of Biloxi, Mississippi rebuild their homes and lives. Closer to home, she supported Saint Cloud area kids through the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentorship program.

Jenna is excited to carry on the small town way of life in Mason City and learn about the people and places that make up Northern Iowa.
