Dave Hansen

Dave was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and moved to Rochester, Minnesota as a young boy. He’s a Midwest guy who is "happy to be back in the area."
Dave is a veteran broadcast journalist, equally at home in the field or behind the anchor desk. He is an accomplished writer and an award-winning reporter/anchor.
Dave began his broadcast career at KRPR-FM at Rochester University Center in Rochester, Minnesota and could also be heard on KROC-AM and FM. He was a Broadcast Journalism major and earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University.
Dave’s TV career includes stops in Minneapolis, Omaha and Jacksonville, Florida. Most recently he served as the senior reporter/ weekend anchor at the ABC affiliate in Augusta, Georgia. He covered crime, courts and was an investigative/special projects reporter.
During his career, Dave has enjoyed being a part of his community. Of all the activities he has done, his favorite was the reading program in Omaha where he spent time reading to local kindergartners. "It was payback for me," Dave said, "I always enjoyed reading when I was in school and it really helped that I was read to at a young age."
Dave enjoys life to the fullest. You'll find him biking, spending time with family and enjoying music.
